E012 Employer reference is missing

How to resolve a missing employer identifier in your pension data export.

What this means: Your data doesn't include an employer identifier, so Jarvis can't match it to the right scheme.

Why this might happen: The employer reference field is likely not configured in your payroll system's pension export settings.

What to do

  1. Check that the employer reference is configured in your payroll system. The field varies by format: EmployerId for PAPDIS, Employer Reference for NEST, ER CODE for NOW:Pensions, Pension Company for Access Pay & Bill

  2. If you're unsure of the correct value, contact Jarvis Support

  3. Update your payroll configuration and re-export
