E003 Provided data set contains invalid records

How to fix records with invalid identifier fields in your CSV.

Updated this week

What this means: A key identifier field in your CSV doesn't match what Jarvis expects for your format.

Why this might happen: The data may not comply with the format specification. For example, PAPDIS records should contain "PAP01" or "PAP11" in the version field, and NEST records should have "D" as the record type.

What to do

  1. Open the CSV and check the identifier fields for your format:
PAPDIS: PAPDISVersion should be "PAP01" or "PAP11"
NEST: Record type for detail rows should be "D"

  2. If values look wrong, speak to your payroll provider about the export format

  3. Correct the data and resubmit
