Configuring Jarvis in Kintec

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for configuring Jarvis as your workplace pension provider in Kintec, including initial setup, credential entry, and pension scheme configuration.

Before You Start

Ensure you have:

  1. Previous provider submissions complete

    • All outstanding contributions submitted and processed

    • Previous provider account brought current

  2. Kintec support confirmation

    • Contact the Kintec support team to request Jarvis configuration on your instance

    • Wait for confirmation that Jarvis has been enabled

  3. Jarvis employer identifiers available


Retrieving Jarvis Identifiers

  1. Log into Jarvis employer portal: https://app.getjarvis.app/employer

  2. Select your scheme from bottom left panel

  3. Copy credentials exactly as displayed:

    • Employer ID: JRVEMPxxxxxx (e.g., JRVEMP123456)

    • Group ID(s): JRVSCHxxxxxx for each worker category (e.g., JRVSCH123456)

CRITICAL

Credentials are case-sensitive. Copy exactly as shown, do not retype manually.


Configuration Steps

Step 1: Request Kintec Configuration

Contact the Kintec support team and request that Jarvis is enabled on your Kintec instance.

Once they confirm this is complete, proceed to Step 2.


Step 2: Enable Jarvis in Company Settings

  1. Navigate to Company Details

  2. Click Edit

  3. Select the Client Settings tab

  4. Tick the checkbox for 'Jarvis Pension Enabled'

  5. Enter your Jarvis Pension Organisation ID and Scheme ID (provided by your Jarvis Relationship Manager)

  6. Click Save


Step 3: Configure Your Pension Scheme

  1. Return to the Company Details page

  2. Click on the Pension Schemes tab

  3. Either:

    • Click Edit if you have an existing pension scheme, or

    • Click Add New to create a new scheme

  4. Enter your required pension details:

    • Pension scheme name (e.g., 'Jarvis')

    • Contribution rates

    • Qualifying earnings settings

  5. Populate the Jarvis Pension Group field with your group name from Jarvis

  6. Click Save

Important: The Organisation ID, Scheme ID, and Group name must match exactly with the details in your Jarvis employer portal.


Post-Configuration Verification

Before processing your first live payroll, verify:

  1. 'Jarvis Pension Enabled' checkbox is ticked in Client Settings

  2. Organisation ID and Scheme ID are correctly entered

  3. Pension scheme is configured with the correct contribution rates

  4. Jarvis Pension Group field matches your Jarvis portal exactly
