Every employee is given a one-time opt-out window when they’re first enrolled into a workplace pension scheme.
In your case, that window would have started when your employer initially enrolled you into the previous pension scheme. Even though your employer has now switched to Jarvis, that original opt-out window doesn’t reset with the change in provider.
But not to worry, you can cease contributions.
Cease Contributing
If you’d prefer not to have any future pension contributions made into Jarvis, you can choose to cease contributions. To do this, you'll need to do the following:
Open the enrolment email you received from Jarvis*
Click on the purple button in the email that says 'Get started with Jarvis' - this will direct you to download the app or open the app if you already have it installed.
You will be given an option to connect with your employer - connect with your employer.
Once you are connected, tap the menu icon in the top left corner.
Click on 'Workplace Jar'
Click on the name of your employer underneath 'Contributing Employers'
Select 'Request To Leave Scheme'
This will send a notification to your employer who will action this for you.
*You will need to make sure you've downloaded the app and connected to your employer to get the option to opt out.
