How do I opt-out of my workplace pension?

Step-by-step instructions to opt out within the 30-day window.

To opt-out, follow these steps:

  1. Open the enrolment email sent to you by Jarvis.

  2. Click the "Opt-out" link at the bottom of the email.

  3. Follow the steps to confirm your opt-out.

  4. If the enrollment email does not include an opt-out link or the link doesn’t work, open the Jarvis app, navigate to the Workplace Jar section, select your employer’s name, and choose Request To Opt Out or Request To Leave Scheme.

  5. If you haven’t received the enrollment email, check your inbox and spam/junk folders. Use the self-serve resend tool via your employer or the Jarvis portal. If the email still doesn’t arrive, it likely means your employer hasn’t finished processing your enrollment.

You will receive a confirmation email once your employer has actioned the opt-out. Your contributions will be refunded via your next payslip. Refunds are typically processed within one to two pay cycles after the opt-out is confirmed.

Important: You must opt-out within 30 days of receiving your enrolment notification. After this window closes, you can stop future contributions but you will not receive a refund. To stop future contributions outside the opt-out window, use the Jarvis app to request to leave the scheme.
